Why one number can't answer the question
Engagement rate is likes plus comments divided by followers. Every free calculator computes it the same way, which is why they all return the same figure and none of them tell you whether to copy the video. A single number has no baseline attached, so it cannot separate a good format from a big account.
The Creator Score divides the video's views by that creator's own 30-day median. 9.20× means the video did more than nine times what that account normally does — on their audience, with their posting history, under their conditions.
The Niche Score divides the same views by the niche median. It answers the other half: did this beat the category, or just the account? A 400k-follower creator posting a 1.10× is having an ordinary day at scale. A 900-follower creator posting a 12.00× found something.
Both are index scores where 100 equals the baseline, shown as multipliers so they read at a glance. When both run hot at once that is a Dual High, and it is the only combination that isolates the format from the audience.
Numbers you can act on
One axis lies. A 10.00× on a small account can still be a bad format, and a flat score on a large one can still hide a good one. Two baselines is the cheapest way to tell which you are looking at before you spend a shoot copying it.

What's the difference between the Creator Score and the Niche Score?
The Creator Score compares the video to that creator's own 30-day median; the Niche Score compares it to the median across the whole niche. A video can be a breakout on one and ordinary on the other — that gap is the point, because it tells you whether the format or the audience did the work.
What does a score like 9.20× mean?
It's a multiple of the baseline. 9.20× against the creator means the video did 9.2 times that creator's median views. 1.00× is exactly average. 2.00× is a real result; 5.00× means stop scrolling and write down what you did.
How is this different from an engagement rate calculator?
An engagement rate is likes plus comments divided by followers — one number, no baseline, computed identically by every free tool. It cannot tell you whether a video beat its own creator or its own niche, which are the two questions that decide whether a format is worth copying.
What is a Dual High?
