ViralVault for Agents — the MCP server

Extension — Scout chip and inline share on scored tiles

Scored tiles in the TikTok overlay can now carry two inline affordances: a Scout chip that offers to index a creator we don't hold yet, and a share action that posts the score with your wordmark. Neither is on every tile — the chip only appears for creators missing from the index, the share footer only when the wordmark toggle is on. Re-dated on 16 August 2026: this entry was published as May 12, 2026, which is before the extension existed. The Scout chip landed 23 May 2026 and the share action on 17 June 2026, so the entry carries the later of the two. Four claims it also carried are gone, because none was ever true or ever measurable: there has never been a Chrome Extension v2 — the extension has only ever been 1.0.0 and 1.1.0 — the comments view is deliberately not scored, so scores never appeared there, no light-mode path has ever existed for a contrast fix to improve, and badges already survived scrolling in the first version rather than being fixed here. Scoring on creator profile pages is not gone: it moved to the launch entry below, which is when it landed.

Shareable score cards

Every video now has a "share as PNG" option that renders a custom OG-image with the Outlier Score badge, and link previews on X use a large-image card sitewide. Re-dated on 16 August 2026: this entry was published as May 5, 2026, eight days before the database it runs on existed. The share sheet landed 17 June 2026 and the sitewide X card on 30 May 2026, so the entry carries the later of the two. Two claims it also carried are no longer here. Public board URLs shipped with the boards at launch below rather than a month afterwards, so they are recorded there instead of being dropped. "Search results 40% faster" cited a measurement that exists nowhere — no baseline, no benchmark, no commit — so it is gone.

ViralVault is live. Outlier Score Engine, AI Hook Writer, Chrome Extension, Creator Boards. Free tier, no credit card. Built by one person. Re-dated on 16 August 2026: this entry was published as April 14, 2026 — a month before the first commit, the first table and the first account. The code landed 14 May 2026; the extension became installable and the trending dashboard started returning rows on 16 May, so the entry carries the later date. It also claimed eleven weeks of building in public beforehand, which no record we hold supports; that line is removed rather than reworded. Two things this page announced later are listed here instead of being dropped, because this is when they actually shipped: the extension scoring tiles on creator profile pages, and the public board URL, which shipped with the boards themselves rather than a month afterwards.

This entry claimed that thumbs up/down on hooks trains the model for you specifically, four style profiles for generation, hook history export to CSV, and a fix for hooks being cut off at 280 characters. We audited all four against the code, the git history and the database on 16 August 2026, and none of them holds up. The thumbs buttons have no click handler and the rating column has never held a value, so nothing is captured, let alone used to shape generation — and the generator is never told which user it is writing for. The hooks API accepts no style parameter and the app renders no style picker; those four style names appear nowhere in the product except this claim. The Export button on the hooks page has no handler behind it, and the only export we offer is a whole-account JSON download. No 280-character limit has ever existed in the hook path, so there was no fix to re-date. The date was part of what is retracted too — nothing shipped under this version on that day, because the first line of code is dated 14 May 2026, which is why this entry now sits below the launch it claimed to precede. The version number stays so the retraction is visible instead of the entry quietly disappearing.

This entry claimed niche pop alerts, a Slack integration, a weekly niche digest and a shorter onboarding flow. We audited all four against the code, the git history and the database on 16 August 2026, and none of them holds up. No alerting has ever been built. Slack has rendered as "Coming soon" since the day the account page was written. The digest sender only landed in August 2026 and is still switched off. The onboarding flow was seven screens until August 2026 and is two now — it was never eight, and never five. The claims are removed rather than reworded, because there was no true version of any of them to fall back to. Retracted — the founding cohort never existed

This entry claimed a closed beta of 247 founding members who generated 12,000 hooks, saved 8,400 videos and gave us 1,247 pieces of feedback, that the product was 80% built on what they told us, and that 1.2M videos were indexed at beta close. We checked every figure against production on 16 August 2026. Thirty-eight accounts have ever existed — nine of them seeded test accounts and one the founder — one row is flagged as a beta member, and the beta applications table is empty. The hooks table holds 43 rows all time, saved videos 58, feedback 3. The index has never held anything close to the figure claimed; the only corpus numbers we publish are measured floors, and hardcoding one here broke that rule as well as the arithmetic. The 80% goes with the rest: the cohort it credits does not exist, and every piece of feedback we hold postdates the features it supposedly shaped. Nothing here could be re-dated, because there is no date on which any of it was true — zero accounts existed before 14 May 2026, which is why this entry now sits below the launch it claimed to precede.
