Extension questions.

How is this different from buying the full ViralVault Pro plan?+
The extension on its own gives you Outlier Score overlays on TikTok, creator x-ray hovers, 20 hooks/day inside TikTok, and one-tap save to your boards. The Pro plan ($19/mo) includes all of that PLUS the full ViralVault web platform — unlimited search, unlimited boards, 100 hooks/day in the app, trending dashboard, exports, niche alerts. If you only need the in-TikTok experience, the $6 plan is enough. If you want to research at scale outside TikTok, you want Pro.
Which browsers are supported?+
Chrome (v100+), Edge (Chromium-based), Brave, Arc, and Opera. We do not yet support Safari due to Manifest V3 limitations — Firefox is on the roadmap for Q3 2026.
Does the extension slow down TikTok?+
No. We measure latency at every release — current overlay latency is 0.4s on a normal connection. Score lookups are cached aggressively. Memory footprint is <15MB.
Can the extension see other tabs or my browsing history?+
No. The manifest only requests access to tiktok.com. We cannot read or interact with any other tab. Manifest is open-source — link in your install email.
What happens if I have both the standalone extension and ViralVault Pro?+
You don't need both — Pro includes the extension. If you accidentally subscribe to both, email support and we'll cancel the $6 plan and credit any double-billed days.
Is there a trial?+
Yes — 1-day free trial on the standalone $6 plan and a 3-day trial on Pro. Card required, cancel anytime before the trial ends and you won't be charged. We don't issue refunds.
Does the extension work outside TikTok?+
Currently TikTok-only. Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts support are on the roadmap for Q3/Q4 2026. Existing subscribers will get them at no extra cost.
Can I export my saves from the extension?+
Yes — anything saved via the extension syncs to your ViralVault account in real time. From there you can export to CSV (Pro) or JSON (any plan).
